Cincinnati Lafayette Lodge had a very active summer.

We enjoyed a splendid dinner boat cruise which attracted some 87 brethren, wives and friends.

The annual picnic was blessed with perfect weather and everyone had an afternoon of good food, fun and fellowship.

In June, a number of our lodge members and families joined some 10,000 other Masons and took part in a statewide Masonic gathering and parade held in Columbus.

Just this past weekend, several Cincinnati Lafayette members and their families travelled to Springfield to be part of the Masonic Home Day celebration.  This year was especially noteworthy. Those in attendance were privileged to witness the ceremony of burying the time capsules from all 25 Masonic Districts in Ohio, in the cemetery on the grounds of the home.  These capsules will not be opened for at least a hundred years. It is awesome to realize that The Masons who will take part in that future ceremony have not yet been born.

Well summer is over and a new season of Masonic work lies before us.

New petitions have been submitted and all look forward to being involved with sharing our Masonic heritage and traditions with new Brother Masons.

Along with the work comes the fun and fellowship of Brother Masons joining together in the spirit of Brotherly love and affection.

Please make an effort to be with your fellow brother Masons in the upcoming months.

Fraternally,

Dexter A. Denney, WM
